Jerwood Stable Studio at Ragley
The Jerwood Stable Studio at Ragley, Alcester, Warwickshire
Architects: Munkenbeck & Marshall Architects
Opened in March 2008
The Jerwood Foundation has opened an exhibition and education space for Jerwood Sculpture at Ragley. The Jerwood Stable Studio is housed in the impressive stable block designed by James Gibbs in 1751, which is still in use and also houses Ragley's own education room. Munkenbeck & Marshall's exciting designs maintain the integrity of the Grade I listed building while providing a unique environment in which to exhibit the maquettes and development work from successive Jerwood Sculpture Prizes and other commissions for Jerwood Sculpture.
