Julian Wild

Julian Wild (b. 1975)

Julian Wild studied Sculpture at Kingston University from 1992 to 1995 before working as a prop-maker and then a studio assistant to Damien Hirst. Julian is currently creating a series of works called Systems which explore the potential of functional materials and the expressive possibilities of a single line. Alongside these, Julian is also working on a series of ceramic works using industrial processes to create organic structures.

In 2005 Julian was shortlisted for the Jerwood Sculpture Prize. He has carried out commissions for Millfield School, The Cass Foundation, Crest Nicholson, Wyeth Europa, Schroders Investment Management and P&O Shipping. He has held solo exhibitions at the Atrium Gallery of Price Waterhouse Coopers and at the National Institute for Medical Research in London and his work has been included in group shows at the Fine Art Society and Rollo Gallery in London. In 2008 Julian will complete an artist residency and commission at Radley School, Oxfordshire. Julian lives and works in London.
