Jon Ford

Jon Ford (b. 1971)

Jon Ford was born in Cheadle, Staffordshire and studied Sculpture at Coventry University (1992-95).

He has completed commissions for Cardiff Bay Arts Trust (2000) and Warwick Arts Centre (2002) and he won the Juliet Gomperts Tust Memorial Award (2003). In 2003 he also won the Jerwood/Arts Council West Midlands Sculpture Prize with his sculpture Meth V - Stargazer, which is now in the collection of the Jerwood Sculpture Park at Ragley.

In 2005 a solo exhibition of Ford's work, FordkruppertechnikRetrospektive, was held at the Mount House Gallery, Malborough and in 2006 he was Artist in Residence at Marlborough College. Ford was one of five Artists in Residence at The Pump House Gallery in Battersea, London in January-February 2007.
